Cortiment tablets may be prescribed for you if you have mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis (UC) where 5-ASA treatment is not sufficient or tolerated.

Cortiment contains the active ingredient, budesonide. Budesonide belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids, which are used to help reduce inflammation.

Your Doctor may have prescribed Cortiment for you.  To get the optimal benefit from your medicine it is important that you take it in accordance with your Doctor’s instructions.  This means the right dose (quantity), at the frequency and for the length of time prescribed by your Doctor.
